Who on earth was the idiot who thought that kettles should be white? Honestly, that is the most impractical colour in the world to make a household appliance. And yet, any nice kettle is white. That just isn’t practical in a house like ours. Not when there are about ten people around the house. All of which boil water about three to ten times a day. Not practical at all. Why didn’t anyone think of that before they made the kettle? Do white kettles sell better or something? That no-one in the history of kettle-making ever succeeded in making black kettles popular. Really weird. That people are so stuck on tradition and the way things ’should be’ and ‘everyone who’s anyone does it like this’ that they aren’t willing to change to something more practical. My word, we are all such idiots.
The grade above us got to dissect pig heads today. They took out the brain and an eye and fiddled around in the nasal cavaties and the mouth. We missed half of Science watching them. The rest of the day was pretty boring. I redid my picture of an alien on the English desk because it was getting worn out. Agnes made the Maths teacher (yes, the cute Russian one) throw a fit. It was hilarious. My friends and I were all doing it ghetto at lunch today. Everyone brings last night’s leftovers and between the lot of us we all manage to get a fairly decent lunch. As usual, there wasn’t enough forks to go around, but whatever. It’s all good.
Lock picking is so much more useful than it is to know how respiration works. Why don’t they teach us that instead? I mean, there is a far greater chance that we will need to know lock picking than there is that we’ll need to understand respiration. For crying out loud. Now they waste our time. But whatever.
I am so sorry for Agnes. She has always wanted to be in top 5 and this term she was 3% away. And two of the others are in the top 5 because they are taking the easy subjects. She is not only taking the hard subjects, but she is also taking an extra subject. While the others aren’t doing nearly as much and are only 3% above her. She really is brilliant. I had to pull some serious persuasion tricks to keep her from quitting Science on the spot. Hopefully they’ve been effective enough to keep her in class. Damn marks. Damn results. Damn top 5. And damn school.
I might be a weird sarcastic random little emo who thinks she can write poetry, but I am still lucky.
Very lucky

Honestly?
SO WHAT ??
Skills and abilities are not marks.
)
For me skills were always more important than marks. . (maybe thats why I had the worst marks on Physics in HS
And now. .?
I’m higher than my physics “teacher” would be able to imagine
(altough she wasnt so imaginative anyway
So ..
“Damn marks. Damn results. Damn top 5. And damn school.”
And I agree with that. . BUT
NOT to damn knowledge
NOT to damn skills and abilities
AND
NOT to damn wisdom
REMEMBER one thing :
MARKS passing away and no one remembers them longer than a semester.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and WISDOM REMAIN WHOLE LIFE . .
So who cares about the marks.
)
Even Germans don’t care about marks anymore . .
(now they care about euros

‘Honestly?
SO WHAT ??
Skills and abilities are not marks.’
Exactly. That is why I was trying to convince her not to drop Science, because, in the end, she will know more than the others did, even though she might not have gotten the recognition for it. But everyone will forget the recognition, while the knowledge stays.
‘NOT to damn knowledge
NOT to damn skills and abilities
AND
NOT to damn wisdom’
lol. Zactly.
And rolf to the Germans part.
And yes, I am very happy as well as very lucky. I am more happy than lucky, I think. And : P to the emo part.
